Todd is the son of Shipman’s former CEO and sales manager, David Paige. Todd began working for Shipman’s at our 122 Cross Rd. location in 1984. His first position was that of an in-house extinguisher technician and soon after, his duties were expanded to servicing the Norwich area. In 1986, Todd was offered a position as a full-time Firefighter with Poquonnock Bridge Fire Department in Groton. In his early years at PBFD, Todd continued to work part time at the company as a Scott technician. Although he was fairly young, Todd rose through the ranks of the PBFD rather quickly becoming Chief of the Department in 2001. Todd served as the Chief for over 13 years before retiring in 2014.
Todd is married to Kelly and together they have raised 4 children. Todd is an avid fly fisherman, bird hunter and enjoys his free time training his Labrador Retriever.

Sales-New Haven County
Gary joined Shipman’s Fire Equipment in September 1999, as a fire equipment sales representative. He has been in the fire service since January 1981. Currently serves as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Town of Branford Fire Department. He is a retired Captain from the West Shore Fire District, West Haven (CT), 1989-2011.
Prior to joining Shipman’s, Gary worked for a self-contained breathing apparatus manufacturer for over ten years. He worked in production, training, research and development, and served as production supervisor.
Gary covers South Central Connecticut in New Haven and Middlesex Counties. His focus is not only providing the best product for the customer’s needs, but ensuring they are properly trained to use and maintain the equipment.
When time permits, he enjoys playing golf with his son Owen.

Sales-North West Connecticut
Frank Johns started with Shipman’s Fire Equipment Company in 2005.He has over thirty years of experience in the fire service/fire equipment industry, specializing in fire equipment and fire apparatus sales.
Frank is a former member, and officer of the Watertown Fire Department, and is a member of the Litchfield County Fire Chief’s and the Connecticut Fire Chief’s Associations.
Frank has an A.S. degree in marketing, has studied at the University of Connecticut, and is working towards a bachelor’s degree. He is certified as Firefighter I and holds certificates from the Connecticut State Fire Academy, and the National Fire Academy
Frank’s sales territory includes fire departments located in Litchfield County, Northern Fairfield County, Northern New Haven County, several in Hartford County and Western Massachusetts.
In his off time Frank enjoys listening to jazz and blues, playing the guitar and traveling with his wife Peggy.

Brian joined the Shipman's team in July of 2009 and brings 10 years of experience in Fire Equipment Sales to Shipman's. With this comes first hand knowledge on the Globe Family of Brands including Globe Firesuits, Cairns Protective Clothing, Globe Footgear, Globe EMS/Rescue Gear. He also specializes in Cairns/MSA Helmets, Shelby Gloves, and many other personal protective items. He has been involved with the fire service for over 16 years.
Brian has been married for 29 years to the love of his life, Marianne, they have 3 children – Ron, Sarah, and Rachel. Brian is also a grandfather of 2 – Jack Daniel and James Michael.
When not meeting with customers for gear demos you can find Brian at home spending time with his family, at the firehouse, or enjoying a good cigar.

Sales-South West Connecticut
John is an Assistant Chief (Shift Commander) with the Westport Fire Department (April 1995 to present) and is the past Chief of the Nichols Fire Department in Trumbull (April 1980 to present).
John joined Shipman's as a sales representative in 199X and covers the southwestern corner of Connecticut. He previously worked in the Fire Equipment Industry as a Sales Rep.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Connecticut State University in Business Administration and has numerous state and national level fire related certifications. John currently serves as the lead instructor for the Fairfield Regional Fire School vehicle extrication and advanced extrication programs held each spring and fall. He also teaches at the CT Fire academy during June School and their recruit classes (Thermal imaging uses and limitations).
He lives in Trumbull with his wife Cheryl, daughter Meghan and son Tyler.

Corey grew up in West Warwick, RI where his father was a Firefighter and eventually went on to Chief of the Department. After attending CCRI and URI for college, Corey was appointed to the West Warwick Fire Department in January of 1990. He served on Rescue 1 for 9 years, Engine 2 for 3 years and the rest of his career on the Tower Ladder.
Corey joined Shipman's in 2010 and is currently serving as the Sales Representative for the Rhode Island territory.
He still lives in West Warwick with his wife and 2 children. When he's not working he enjoys trying to play golf and is becoming involved in youth sports with his children.

Sales-South East Connecticut
Brian entered the fire service at the age of 15 as a junior member in the Oswegatchie Fire Company #4 Inc. Waterford, CT in 1969 where he remained through his active career. During this career he held the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief and served as Fire Chief from 1991-2003. State of CT certifications attained include Firefighter I, II, III, Instructor I, Fire Officer I and Safety Officer.
Brian worked for the Town of Waterford Department of Public Works from 1973 until his retirement in 2001, 20 of those years as Highway Foreman. He has worked for Shipman’s Fire Equipment since 2001 as Fire Apparatus Sales Representative and took over as New London County Fire Equipment Sales Representative in August of 2012.

Jack came to Shipman's after a long career with the Hartford Fire Department. After working for the Connecticut State Police Fleet Garage as a Fleet Mechanic, he joined Hartford Fire Department's Equipment Maintenance Division in 1981. He became to Supervisor of the division in 1990. He retired from Hartford in May of 2006.
Jack has been a member of Blue Hills Fire Department for 21 years and is a Life Member. He served as President of the Connecticut Fire Equipment Mechanic's Association from 1997 to 2005.
Jack is married and has 2 children. In his down time he enjoys hunting, target shooting and fishing.

Inside Sales and Marketing
Rob joined the Shipman's team in 1999 after 4 years in the Fire Equipment Industry. He got interested in the business after joining Waterford Fire Engine Co. 1 at the age of 15. He is Certified in Firefighter 2, Haz-Mat operational, Confined Space, Rope and High Angle Rescue and Ice and Cold Water Rescue among others.
He came to Shipman's with a strong background in Fire Extinguisher Service and Breathing Air Compressor Service and helped our Compressor Department grow over his time there, implementing such important items as our Fresh Air Newsletter.
Rob is currently serving as an Inside Sales Representative and does Marketing for Shipman's.
Outside of Shipman's he has too many interests to list. Currently he enjoys working on and driving race cars for a local racing school, camping, sailing and bicycling, but those interests are subject to change at any moment

Jack comes to Shipman's with years of experience in the Fire Apparatus sales and repair business. He currently provides all estimates for service, repair and installation work for our Apparatus Service Department.
