Carbon fibers composite cylinders exhibiting the most recent hydrostatic test date prior to May 11, 2001 must be tested at the next three-year test interval. After that test, these cylinders may be tested at the five-year interval. Cylinders with test dates prior to July 1, 2001 must be tested at their next three-year hydrostatic interval. All cylinders manufactured after July 2001 will now require hydrostatic testing every 5 years from date of manufacture.
